Due to the still ongoing uncertainties about possible travel restrictions and other probable limitations on the number of participants in the lecture hall, the EMBO Workshop on Tuberculosis - originally planned for September 2020 and then postponed to September 2021 - can unfortunately not be held this year. The organizing committee will apply for EMBO support to hold the conference in a very similar fashion as originally planned, at a new date, from September 12-16, 2022. We apologize for any inconvenience.
For all participants who had already paid the registration fee, please contact Elodie Pysson ( firstname.lastname@example.org) for reimbursement or alternatively for upholding their registration at the meeting now foreseen in September 2022.
The EMBO Workshop on Tuberculosis 2020 (now scheduled for being held in September 2022) was planned to be the 3rd large conference on tuberculosis (TB) and pathogenic mycobacteria to be held in the congress centre (CIS) of the Institut Pasteur in the 21st century, following the previous two very successful EMBO-sponsored conferences held in 2012 and 2016 at the same location. Despite some major scientific advances in recent years, the global situation with TB is unfortunately still very far from being solved and TB remains a key infectious disease that globally claims numerous human lives every day. Thus, the search for novel, scientifically challenging, solutions to this human tragedy are of urgent and continued interest. The objectives of this meeting are to unite a critical mass of scientists involved in research to communicate and exchange novel information on the disease and the causative agent, as well as related mycobacteria that are of medical interest.
